Sophie Lee is a visual artist reimagining Korean folk craft as a contemporary language. Her practice acts as a tool for activating relationships and gathering. With her background as an arts educator, transit justice researcher, and cultural programmer, she weaves together interests in urban design, marginalized histories, and collaborative storytelling to foster belonging and care.
She holds a B.A. in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
Her latest project is Anchovy Studio, an apparel and design brand inspired by Korean folk arts, diaspora, and cultural history.
